Nestled in Siwuling, é mount museum is a professional institution dedicated to the protection, restoration, and public education of the mountainous forests. It provides us with the opportunity to transform elements related to nature into visual language.
We explored the topographical features of Siwuling and combined them with factors such as wildlife, phenological changes, and weather conditions to create a distinctive logo. Its graphic consists of three mountains, with two closely adjacent peaks resembling companions supporting each other, while the smaller mountain below them nestles like a child in between. These spatial relationships evoke a vivid and friendly image of nature, much like a museum welcoming people of all ages to visit and explore. Brushstrokes forming the mountains do not intersect, leaving gaps that allow various organisms to thrive and reproduce. The rough edges of the logo correspond to the tree-covered ridges seen from a distance, conveying a rustic and primordial essence.
The Chinese and English characters in the logo are modified based on Tsukushi Antique S Mincho L (produced by FounderType and Fontworks). We softened the sharpness at transitional points and reduced the connection between strokes, resulting in a more warm and clear logotype. Compared to regular Mincho fonts, Tsukushi fonts has characteristics such as a narrow internal space and extended strokes, which align with the serene and timeless ambiance of Siwuling.
